Summer School for Children of Aurubis Bulgaria Employees in 2023 "Code 10"

108 students from 1st to 7th grade had fun together this year coding the summer and embarking on 10 themed challenges. Their number was not randomly chosen, it was determined specifically for the tenth edition of the initiative. The summer school traditionally gathers the children of colleagues from different divisions of the company in one place. Subtly and with ease, the participants learned new things, developed their social skills and, last but not least, created many new friendships.

It was five intense days, full of emotions, missions, extraordinary tasks and unforgettable adventures. The children immersed themselves in the world of design, digital arts, modeling, scenography, creative writing, ecology, sports and many other attractive activities.

Summer school is also a place to make dreams come true like becoming a contestant in a video and showing the world your versatile talents. The premiere of the videos filmed by the children took place at the closing of the Summer school in the courtyard of the "Savo Savov" secondary school. Parents had the opportunity to get acquainted with the children's works made during the Summer School and to taste the delicious healthy snacks made by them in the culinary workshop on the same day.

All children received certificates for their participation in the Summer School and gifts. There were awards for the best dodgeball players, a game the kids were introduced to for the first time during this summer's activities and found they really enjoyed it. They promised to keep playing all summer and meet again next year during the 11th edition of the initiative.

The Aurubis project is aimed at promoting children's creativity, supporting their development and it is an expression of our belief that we are all one big family.
